KOCEE BIOGRAPHY
EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Kocee (Ko-C) was born on the 18th of November, 1992 in Kumba, Cameroon, to Cameroonian Parents of the name, Mr and Mrs Collins. Nothing much is known about Cee’s Family Background as at the time of compiling this post. More update to come your way.
Ko-C was born and raised in Santa, a town in the Northwest region of Cameroon. He began his education at Victory Nursery and Primary School on Mbonge road, followed by Government Bilingual High School in Kumba. After completing his secondary education, he attended CCAST Kumba, where he earned his GCE Advanced Level certificate. In 2014, he was admitted to the Higher Institute of Management Studies (HIMS) in Buea, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Management.
MUSIC CAREER
Ko-c, also known as Kocee, started making music by creating songs and sharing them with friends to get their opinions. He wrote his first song, "Town Player", when he was 20 years old, which marked the beginning of his music career. He joined a group called PIM Boys in 2015, which was signed to a US-based record label called BTS Empire, owned by Valo Valery. However, the group broke up the same year. Despite this, Kocee’s solo music career took off in 2016 when Rawget Music noticed him and released his first solo song, "Balancé".
Kocee's success showed that making music with others remotely (instead of in person) can work really well. Another big achievement came when the Nigerian soccer team, the Super Eagles, used his song "Credit Alert" (feat. Patoranking) as their anthem after they beat the Ghana Black Stars 2-1 in March 2024. Even though Kocee was doing well with Big Dreams Entertainment, he decided to go solo in 2020 and start his own company, Power House Entertainment, so he could have more control over his music. During his time with Big Dreams, Kocee made many hit songs and worked with famous artists like Ténor and Locko, which helped him become one of the top musicians in Cameroon.
