EMTEE BIOGRAPHY
EARLY LIFE
Emtee was born on the 17th of September, 1992 in Matatiele, South Africa. Emtee's Parents are Elias and Anna according to Wikipedia. No detailed information is known regarding his education or early life and upbringing. However, it is stated that he grew up in Soweto, Gauteng.
MUSIC CAREER
Emtee started his music career officially in 2015 after releasing his debut track titled "Roll Up". The song was a hit and brought Emtee to the industry's spotlight. Sometime later, the remix of Roll Up was released titled "Roll Up Re-up" featuring Kate South African Rapper, AKA and Afrobeat Sensation, Wizkid. He won numerous awards for his song, Roll Up including the South African Music Awards and the South African Hip Hop Awards.
On the 4th of December, 2015, Emtee released his debut studio Album, titled "Avery", which was named after his first born son bearing the same name. In 2019, Emtee attained a greater feet after establishing his own Record Label named "Emtee Records". In February of 2021, Emtee released his Hit single titled "iThemba" which climbed up to the No 1 spot at the time of release. On the 9th of April, 2021, Emtee released his "Logan" album, which was named after his second son, Logan. We are hoping his next project be named Nairobi after his third female child.
So far since his career, he has released about Six studio projects including Albums and Extended Plays (EPs). He has also received an RiSA Certification for his Album, Avery, aside from winning numerous Awards. Emtee has worked with top African Acts like AKA, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Nasty C And many more.
